PETROLERN’s Geomechanical and Borehole Stability study for Preston New Road led to successful drilling of a S-shape appraisal well and two horizontal shale gas wells in the UK’s Bowland Shale Gas with no notable stability-related incidents. Considering the high volume of drilling problems faced while drilling the exploration wells in the region with significant NPT, this is a remarkable achievement by the Cuadrilla team with efficient support from PETROLERN.
