PETROLERN, in collaboration with Rockfield, started a new project for PPL to develop 3D geomechanical model, frac design, and advanced 3D hydraulic fracturing modeling for the tight sandstone gas field, Gambat, in the Sindh province of Pakistan. This complex project consists of multi-stage horizontal fracturing modeling including both near wellbore fracture initiation and far-field fracture propagation, proppant placement, flowback simulation, and production prediction.
