PETROLERN is very proud to be awarded a DOE grant under SBIR Phase I program. It was the company’s first ever application for DOE research funding, showing the high caliber of our team when developing brilliant research ideas and proposals. The proposed research project will address one of the major challenges of DOE in the monitoring, verification, and accounting (MVA) of carbon storage sites, which is the transmission and processing of high-volume data from downhole sensors. PETROLERN LLC will design and develop an automated data collection system using an innovative data compression technique to reduce the volume of the data at the sensor location in real-time.
